Years ago, an Australian journalist unexpectedly received emails meant for our family.  What began as a simple mistake eventually led him to our Thanksgiving table in America, where he spent time with the Tran family and interviewed my parents about their journey from Việt Nam.

What stayed with me was not simply the interview itself, but the care and humanity he brought to those conversations. The recordings became more than documentation. They preserved voices, memories, laughter, silences, and fragments of a history that might otherwise have remained only within our family.
